Introduction
This article guides any customer administrator through the steps required to add and remove user access to their organisation's Bring Your Own BI (BYOBI) or Data Share service.
A user is granted access to the BYOBI or Data Share service through the allocation of a licence to the relevant BYOBI or Data Share product to their OneAdvanced Identity user account.
Prerequisites
To access the features described in this article, you must have customer administrator privileges to your organisation.
Accessing the Licence Assignment Feature
To access the required feature to grant and withdraw access:
- Open OneAdvanced My Workplace Portal
- Go to System Settings > Licenses.
Adding Users' Access to Bring Your Own BI or Data Share
- Locate the product name you want to add access to:Products are named using the format 'Data Platform - <Product Name> - <BYOBI or Data Share>' e.g. 'Data Platform - Financials - BYOBI'
- Click the View button.
- When the next page is displayed, click Add User

- Locate the user you wish to add

- Click Save
The user will now be able to access BYOBI or Data Share using Power BI (How to connect Power BI to OneAdvanced Data Platform) or any ODBC connection configured to use SAML (e.g. Microsoft Excel How to connect MS Excel to Snowflake using ODBC).
Removing Users' Access to Bring Your Own BI or Data Share
- Access the Product Licence feature as described above.
- Locate the product name you want to delete access to.
- Click the View button.
- From the Manage Users section locate the user you wish to remove.
