Teams Applet

We're thrilled to introduce our latest feature that brings even more power and convenience to your digital workplace - the Microsoft Teams channel feed Applet! 🎉 This seamless integration allows you to stay in the loop with your Teams channels right from your Desk.

Embrace this new level of collaboration and communication by seamlessly integrating Microsoft Teams into MyWorkplace. 🚀 Enhance your workflow, streamline your information, and keep your team in the know, all from one convenient platform.

Enabling the Connector

Before users can start enjoying the benefits of this integration, an admin user needs to set up the connector. Here's how:

  1. Select Apps from the menu on the left, then Integrations and open Connectors.
  2. You should see an option for Microsoft Teams appear in the table. Click the Enable button.

That's it! Everyone in your organisation can now use the Teams channel feed Applet.

Adding the Applet and Connecting to Teams

Once the connector is enabled by the admin, everyone in your organisation can start benefiting from this integration by adding the Applet to a Desk and connecting it to your Teams account. Here's how to do it:

  1. Head to the Desk where you want to use the Applet. You need to be able to edit the Desk.
  2. Open the Applet library by clicking on + Add Applet at the top right.
  3. Look for Teams channel feed. Find it quickly by selecting Activity or searching for Teams.
    Select the Applet and then click + Add selected.
  4. Follow the prompts to connect the Applet to your Microsoft Teams account. This step will involve signing in and granting permissions.
  5. Once connected, choose the Teams channel you want to display in the widget. First select the Team, then the Channel, from the dropdowns.
  6. You can also choose how many messages to display and whether to show replies.
  7. Make sure to save your changes.

Voila! You're all set. 🎈 Now, whenever you access your Desk, you'll see the latest posts and updates from your chosen Teams channel, right alongside your other important information.

Click View to see a full message and any replies. You can also click Open Teams to go to open the message in Teams, great for a quick response.
