Applets Overview
Applets reside on Desks - and each Applet represents a specific information point, short workflow or small piece of activity from an application like Advanced HR or Advanced Financials. Multiple Applets can be placed on a single Desk and you can mix and match them from different applications.
Applets simply enable you to get stuff done with no fuss. Each Applet represents a small action, for example keeping notes, booking annual leave or inputting expenses. Saving time on the basics means no longer having to deal with lengthy administration. You are freed up to focus on the important, value-adding activities that you're passionate about.

How do I find Applets?
You can add Applets to any Desk that you are able to edit. You may need to add a new Desk (go to the Desks menu, then Add Desk, then Create a new Desk).
From the Desk, click on the '+ Add Applet' button. This is the blue button at the top right of the Desk, or on a new Desk you will also see this button in green in the middle.

From here, you can pick out Applets to add to your Desk. See more information about the types of Applet and how they work above. You can search for a specific Applet or use the filter to look for a category of Applet, such as HR & Payroll, Financials, Insights, or Links.

You can also click 'Learn more' on any of the Applets to see more information about how the Applet works, key features, any permissions required, and a preview of what the Applet looks like.
From here, you can also choose from different size options, if available, and choose a quantity - allowing you to add multiple of the same Applet to your Desk. This is a great time saver for when setting up a Desk, particularly for Applets like Notes and Shortcut.

We add new Applets all the time, we'll let you know in the Product Hub when new Applets are available so keep your eye out for updates!
